Aviation Security

This division is one of only six companies licensed by Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) to provide security services at all Local and International Airports. This encompasses both land and airside services.

Protea Coin is the only security company in South Africa with the security clearance to provide physical VIP/CIP escorts from and to the aircraft, at Johannesburg International, Cape Town International and Port Elizabeth Airport. This service includes clearance of the Principle(s) baggage through customs, without the necessity of the Principle(s) being present.

Our security officers receive specialized training including National Key Point and AVSCAN/ AVSEL training. Security personnel credentials are fully compliant with the Civil Aviation Authorities Training Requirements relating to aviation security.
