RECRUITMENT, VETTING, TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Bidvest Protea Coin employ approximately 24,000 personnel who are deployed across all market sectors. It is critical for us to correctly profile the right individual for the right job. We ensure that the candidate can speak read and write as well as have the ability to think logically, is a South African citizen and has a legitimate PSIRA qualification. Once these pre-checks have been done, then only do we embark on finger prints, criminal checks and reference checks, prior to any offer of employment.

Our SASSETA accredited and highly acclaimed training Academy, Gijima, is situated north of Pretoria and is fully equipped with class room facilities, registered and accredited trainers and material, accommodation, catering and laundering. Our Academy can accommodate 200 learners at any given time.

A number of specialised training courses, both theory and practical takes place at this facility, including; NKP, reaction unit/crowd control, dog handling, to name a few. Induction, soft skills, health and safety, technical skills and advanced management training is also provided at Gijima.
